Sorry, but no time to update the site properly.

I am still alive!!!

Currently in Tacna, Peru, about to cross into Chile this morning. (9 December)

I've been doing big days - 850+ km - with no internet at the end, and won't stop at internet cafes during the day, as riding time (daylight hours) is precious......

Will update when I can, just bear with me, please.

11 December

I'm now 400km south of Santiago, and will cross the Andes into Argentina about lunchtime tomorrow, hopefully.  Did about 1,050km today, including brekky and lunch stops, and going straight through Santiago.  Pretty good day's ride, I reckon. Wonderful tolled autopista (freeway), 120kph limit, almost all the way.

13 December.

I'm now well down into Argentina, at San Carlos de Bariloche, about 2000km from Ushuaia.  So, barring accidents, I'll make it by my planned arrival date - 16th December.

Once settled down in Ushuaia, I MAY be able to update some more of the site, before leaving for Antarctica, but no promises.

I leave Pte San Julian this morning with only about 850km left to Ushuaia, of which at least 140km is ripio (gravel), and there is a crossing on a ferry, which won't run if the winds are too strong.
